I adore this edition: a crisp, clean hardcover binding with a lovely burgundy cover. "A Christmas Carol" is a well-known classic, and has been remade into dozens of movie and television versions. The well-known story is that of a bitter man, taken back through time to examine the consequences of his materialistic life. Only in retrospect does he realize how truly lonely and miserable he is, but h is brought back to the present on Christmas morning with the beautiful realization that it is never too late to start fresh. Here Dickens shows his true talent as a writer, and this delightful tale is meaningful for adults and children alike.
