Open Thread: More Geese

So far as I know there's no suffix one can attach to "gos" that means "Smaller than adult but not so little as the 'little gos' that one thinks about when hearing 'gosling'" but if there were, the middle geese here would be exemplars of the resulting word.

They're clearly still young enough that the two adults feel the need to flank them, and they don't yet have black feathers, but they're definitely nearly full-grown geese.

Taken at Clark's Pond in South Portland.  Not pictured here is the little dam that keeps the pond at its current level.  Where the water runs over the dam is actually right in front of the foreground adult goose.

Friday Recommendations!  What have you been reading/writing/listening to/playing/watching lately?  Shamelessly self-promote or boost the signal on something you think we should know about - the weekend’s ahead of us, so give us something new to explore!

And, like on all threads: please remember to use the "post new comment" feature rather than the "reply" feature, even when directly replying to someone else!
