If anyone is wondering what the writing in the background is, it says, "Veterans Memorial Bridge" except in all caps, which I chose to selectively lowercase.
This is the South Portland side which is in almost exactly the same place as the original Veterans Bridge (just far enough to the side that they could build the new one before knocking down the old one), unlike the Portland side where the relocated landfall to a place colloquially known as, "Why the Hell would you ever put it there!?"
I swear I'll try to get next week's open thread up on the right day.
